LAVASOFT AD-AWARE This was the first program I used to help me fight spyware/adware. It was great for a while but, it started getting the Microsoft syndrome. It was the big boy on the block so people were finding ways to circumvent it. They have vastly improved it. I suggest installing and updating it then, clean your PC. Afterwards remove it and let Spybot take over for full time protection. this software and updates are FREE for personal use. Going GEEK: Like I mentioned only problem was the big boy syndrome. installation is a breeze and updates are simple but have to be done manual (unlike Spybot). If you buy the full version (I DO NOT RECCOMEND) you can schedule updates. |
